Kate Lakowski is a Nationally Certified School Psychologist with sixteen years of experience working in a highly acclaimed, north shore school district. Kate completed her graduate training at Northeastern University in Boston Massachusetts. She received both a Master of Science in School Psychology and an Educational Specialist Degree in School Psychology. Kate is currently pursuing post-graduate training in mediation through Northwestern University in Chicago.

During her tenure in public schools, Kate gained extensive experience with all aspects of education including multi-tiered interventions, special education eligibility and service delivery, educational placement determinations, and discipline for students with disabilities. As a school-based practitioner, she engaged in meaningful collaboration with private providers including numerous attorneys and special education advocates, which fostered her passion for the law and for collaborative problem solving. Kate uses her advanced training in assessment and mediation to ensure successful student outcomes. Her background as a school psychologist is central to her consultative approach, one that is rooted in data-based decision making and catered to an individual student’s unique needs.

Kate provides comprehensive psychoeducational evaluations, executive functioning coaching, and special education consulting services. Additionally, Kate is available for professional development workshops on topics including developing effective school problem solving teams, implementing evidence-based interventions and strategies into the classroom, improving school attendance and effectively supporting students with anxiety and depression.

Kate is an engaged member of the National Association of School Psychologists.
