Dr. Paulette Miller

Dr. Paulette Miller is a Nationally Certified School Psychologist (NCSP) with a Professional Educator License (PEL) in School Psychology, Elementary Education, and School Administration.  Paulette earned a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Elementary Education and Psychology at Northern Illinois University and a Master’s and Doctorate Degree in School Psychology from Loyola University.  Paulette has over 2 decades of experience working with a diverse population of adolescents from a variety of backgrounds. As a school psychologist, also trained as an elementary school teacher, Paulette understands the importance of education and the challenges young people experience through their elementary and secondary education years. Paulette is passionate about serving under-represented populations, children and adolescents with disabilities, and those who struggle with academic challenges and social/emotional needs.  She works collaboratively with school staff and families to develop essential education plans which address students’ varying needs. Paulette is skilled at identifying academic challenges that are impacting the student’s educational progress and at assisting educators with identifying the interventions, accommodations, and services needed to help children achieve their maximum potential.  Her goal is to always put students first and to ensure that families’ are voices are heard.

Paulette is also passionate about teaching others.  During the summer months, Paulette has served for over a decade as a Project Excel Efficacy Teacher supporting historically marginalized students to develop and improve college readiness skills.  During her tenure, Paulette has also had the opportunity to help train master’s and doctoral level school psychology students by serving as a site supervisor, and being a mentor for new psychologists in her district.  She has given back to her community by providing support as a mentor for adolescents and young adults and as an academic tutor. 

Paulette conducts comprehensive psycho-educational evaluations to assess students’ academic, cognitive, and social and emotional functioning. Additionally, she provides special education consulting and executive functioning coaching services.

When she is not working, she enjoys spending time with family and close friends, traveling, and finding new DIY projects to tackle.
